In looking to the future of politics, Mr. Morris starts by looking back at the sixties and seventies when the old political bosses began to lose their power. According to the author, journalists stepped in to fill the political power vacuum, but blew it with excessive bias, self-involvement, and

Dick Morris builds on Machiavelli's classic "The Prince" with his look at the evolving electorate and the steps candidates should take to keep up with the changes.
Operating from the belief that Machiavelli would see idealism as "the most pragmatic course," Mr. Morris warns that as voters become better informed, they are less likely to fall for the old partisan political tactics that have been bringing people to the polls for decades. "Once, American voters didn't really have access to the facts," writes Mr. Morris, "News information was sharply limited and controlled by the three networks. Without an impressive array of facts at their disposal, voters had no choice but to rely on ideologies or 'ideas.' It was easier to learn one point of view which provid

Dear Ms. Dowd:
The recent article you wrote about Ken Starr was
a disgrace to you and a disgrace to the New York Times. I did not know you could
read people's thoughts. I can't read thoughts, not Ken Starr's or anyone else's.
I can read words. And the thoughts you wrote down in words about Kenneth Starr
were from your mind, not his. I now know a lot more about you than I do about
Ken Starr. ------

"Dick Morris, the president's
sometime pollster, guru and wet nurse, recounts how the president's men
attempted to destroy Kenneth Starr: 'There is a lot of tantalizing stuff out
there and there needs to be some people put under oath ... the Clinton

investigators and said, 'do you have anything on Kenneth Starr's prosecutors
that we can use?'" Wesley Pruden, Washington Times,

Excerpts from testimony by Dick Morris

...W's campaign is off to a very good start. Gov. George W. Bush's (R-Texas) slogan of compassionate conservatism comes as close as any statement has this year to congruence with the emotions, ideals and sentiments of modern Americans.
Its crossing of party lines smacks of a GOP version of triangulation. It seeks to achieve Democratic goals of income distribution and empowerment by Republican methods of tax cutting and reliance on private-sector charitable and church-based organizations. The key for Bush, as always for his family, is how effectively he will translate the slogan into a program.
His father's campaign commercials always resembled bank advertisements. They offered catchy slogans and attractive new looks, but little in the way of substance or program. Unless W can underlay his evocative theme with specific proposals, his wonder

President Bill Clinton's chief strategist, Dick Morris, has written a tantalizing tell-it-all book, "Behind the Oval Office."
Can we believe Morris, this admitted adulterer and power-mad Washington insider? The answer must be "Yes and No." His book reveals an ego gone berserk.
He surely wants to aggrandize his effect on American politics and enhance his future opportunities. Also, the income from a hit book must be tempting.
President Clinton says, "I think he is, first of all, brilliant, tactically and strategically." Clinton gave his blessing to the book so long as it was published after his last election and was "good for Dick Morris and good for Bill

In my land I am known as Donna Marina. Many honors and famed deeds have been accorded me, not the least nor the most that of being the first Christian woman in what you know as Central and South America. It was not, however, always so, for I have tasted human flesh and drank of human blood. I was born the daughter of the Prince of Panala, lord or many but not, unfortunately, of his own health. He died while I was an enfant but it was I that should have died while he had strength still to bed my mother. It was she who wished me dead and I bear her no malice for wanting it so.
Alianza, esa sociedad elector

Reporters Pile "Extremist" Labels on Republicans, But Spared Democrats in 1993 and 1994The Dick Morris Echo Chamber
At the dawn of the Clinton era, the Democratic Party dominated both the executive and legislative branches. Within months, Democrats peeled away restrictions on abortion on demand, pushed for openly gay soldiers in the military, raised taxes to historically high levels, and promoted universally subsidized health care.
Two years later, in the gloomy days after the Republican sweep of Congress in 1994, Bill Clinton sought the advice of political consultant Dick Morris, who urged him to "triangulate" between the extremes of the ascendant conservative Republicans and the liberals in his own party. Would reporters label liberal Democrats "extreme"?

Dick Morris quote Bill Clinton:'Janet Reno is the ONE BIG MISTAKE I'VE MADE IN MY ADMINISTRATION!
Vanity
December 1, 1998
Dick Morris repeated the times Bill Clinton called him in his office to tell him that he did not do what the press was saying he was doing with MOnica. Morris said Clinton was in his Napolean mode......He also said he had on another occasion, when she didn't come down on a judge's ruling (or some part of the case, I'm not sure) in the Paula Jones lawsuit and one of Clinton's men was critizing Reno's lack of control...that Clinton bellowed, "Reno is the one big mistake I have made in my administration!"

ASHRAE 62.2 Votes To Require Mechanical Ventilation In All Homes and Most Apartments
In a radical departure from current codes and standards, the residential ventilation standard committee of the American Society for Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) has voted to require whole-house mechanical ventilation in every single-family home and low-rise apartment in the United States. The changes would increase costs by an estimated $700 to $1300 per dwelling unit, depending on how many exhaust fans the builder normally installs, and cost American consumers nearly a billion dollars a year. Current building codes, as well as ASHRAE’s commercial standard 62-1999, permit natural ventilation through wi

About this Book
Dick Morris has written the ultimate inside
story about the dramatic reelection of President Clinton, one that is certain to
stir controversy about the way politics really works in America today. No one
before has so vividly described what policy advisers, pollsters, and advertisers
do behind the scenes in the Oval Office. And no one has so acutely identified
the new political forces that are dominating America today.
Dick Morris was,

A bet with Dick Morris
Filed October 13, 1997Dick Morris and I have a bet. He's convinced that Al Gore will be president. And I am convinced that he will not. The winner gets dinner and, my money says, the deep pleasure of never having to say those frightening words "President Gore."
Over dinner last week with Morris, his wife and a dozen others, I observed the Morris paradox at work. Out of the ashes of a humiliating personal defeat, the private Morris has fashioned a life with more integrity than ever before.
He has faced up to his addictions, forged a new relationship with his 6-year-old illegitimate daughter and painstakingly wooed his wife back -- and all without joining the Promise Keepers. As far as the naked eye can see, Morris and his wife have found each

Hillary Clinton contracted with three government thugs to kill Dick Morris.
The planning of the hit began well before the Star started talking to Dick Morris's hooker girlfriend Sherry Rowlands. Apparently Morris gave Hillary too much competition for the ear of the President.
At the Democratic National Convention, Hillary Clinton leaked the statement that Dick Morris was "depressed" and "suicidal" because of the Star's reporting of his affair with Sherry Rowlands. This statement was not accidental. She was planning to kill Dick Morris right after the Democratic Convention.

Major broadcast networks and major metropolitan dailies gave lead play to the resignation of Clinton adviser Dick Morris after the New York Post published an account from the Star tabloid about Morris' alleged involvement with a prostitute.
According to a Media Studies Center content analysis:

The New Prince: Machiavelli Updated for the Twenty-first Century
by
Dick Morris
Niccolo Machiavell''s The Prince has been the most widely read and quoted book about politics for the past five centuries. But in the democracies of the information age, new ideas are needed to make governments prosper through the next century. Who better to write The New Prince than current political dark prince Dick Morris?
Morris contributed significantly to President Clinton''s reelection in 1996 and, during the previous two decades, helped many political officials (democrats and republicans alike) gain office. Now Morris takes a hard look at our times and writes a how-to book for office-seekers, special interest groups, and anyone who cares about politics. The New Prince is the essential rule book and program guide for the next election and the new millennium.

(Why should I?)As the presidential election of 1996 got under way, the press began to report that Bill Clinton's campaign strategy was heavily influenced by the advice of a shadowy figure who had no title in either the campaign or the White House, the pollster and consultant Dick Morris. His emergence at the time was reminiscent of the equally sudden appearance in 1986 of Oliver North, the mastermind of the Iran/contra doings in Re
